Listening to the MCAS community: what patients told us

Before writing a line of code or laying out a circuit, we asked the people who'd actually wear it: what do you need? The answers have shaped nearly every decision since.

What we heard, again and again

Three themes came through clearly: logging has to be fast on a bad day, the data has to be trusted by clinicians, and privacy is non-negotiable. Every one of those is now a design requirement, not a nice-to-have.

Designing for the hard days

People with MCAS told us the worst moments are when they have the least energy to document them. So the app is built to capture a symptom in seconds — because a tool that's too heavy to use when you're flaring isn't really a tool at all.

We're not building for patients. We're building with them.

A conversation, not a launch

This isn't a one-time survey. The community continues to guide what we build, and we intend to keep it that way. If you live with MCAS, your experience is the specification we're building to.
