A dashboard full of numbers only helps if you know what the numbers mean. Here's a plain-language guide to reading your MastCell Tracker data with confidence.
Your symptom score
The symptom score is a single daily number that blends what you've logged with what your MCT-1 measured. It's not a grade — it's a trend line. One high day means little; a steady climb over a week is the signal worth paying attention to. Watch the direction, not the digit.
Trigger patterns
When the app links a trigger to a flare, it's reporting a correlation across your own history, not a verdict. The more you log, the sharper these patterns become. Use them as hypotheses to test with your clinician — "gluten seems to precede my flares by about half a day" is a far better starting point than "I feel worse sometimes."
- Frequency — how often a trigger appears before symptoms.
- Lag — the typical delay between exposure and reaction.
- Confidence — how strong the pattern is in your data so far.
Biosignal trends
Continuous readings — like heart-rate variability and skin temperature — add an objective layer beneath your subjective symptoms. On their own they're just curves; alongside your logs, they help distinguish "a rough day" from "a measurable physiological shift."
The goal isn't more data. It's understanding — the kind you can act on.
Bringing it to your care team
The single most valuable thing you can do with your data is share it. Export a clean summary before an appointment and you turn a vague ten-minute conversation into a focused one built on months of evidence.
