Validating wearable biosignals against clinical reference measures

Before a wearable signal can inform care, it must be anchored to something clinically trusted. This study validates continuous MCT-1 biosignals against established reference measures across real-world conditions.

Introduction

Wearable data is only meaningful if it reflects genuine physiology. We compared continuous biosignals against clinical reference instruments to quantify accuracy and reliability.

Methodology

Participants wore the device while undergoing paired reference measurements across rest, activity, sleep, and observed flare episodes.

Validation conditions:

Results

Continuous readings correlated strongly with reference measures across conditions, with the largest gains during transient events that episodic testing tends to miss.

Clinical Implications

Demonstrated agreement with reference measures supports using continuous biosignals as a complement to, not a replacement for, clinical assessment.

Conclusion

Validation against trusted measures is foundational. These results support continued clinical evaluation of continuous MCAS monitoring.
